Alessandro Morandotti

Alessandro Morandotti is an art historian who studies, with great interest, all aspects of the region Lombardia's art between the period of the Borromeo's family and the period of the Verri's brothers. He published a book about the painter Paolo Pagani's works (2000), a volume about the neoclassical Milan (2001, with Fernando Mazzocca and Enrico Colle) and was one of the trustees of the art exhibition Musaeum Septalianum. Among other works, we must quote a collection about the scientific city of Milan in the XVII century (1984), Pietro Verri e la Milano dei Lumi (1998), La Milano del Giovin Signore. Le arti del Settecento di Parini (1999) and il Ritratto in Lombardia da Moroni a Ceruti (2002). In 1996 he founded, together with other scholars the art magazine "Nuovi Studi. Rivista di arte antica e moderna".
